For Your Life to Change You Must Change

Why is it that so few people are living up to their potential?

Why are more people sick, overweight, unfit and unhealthy than ever before?

Why are some people more successful than others?

The United States spends more of its gross national product on health care than any other nation, and the costs keep rising.

America is a free society. All choices are open to the individual. All choices are open to the individual. People can do anything, go anywhere, be anything they want, change any part of their lives for the better, whenever they want.

Why is it then that so many people persist in their negativity and pessimism?

The main reason for so much underachievement and frustration is simply that people do not know how to get the most out of themselves. They don’t know how to apply themselves for maximum performance and happiness.

They don’t know their basic operating principles and as a result, they waste many hours, even yeaqrs, functioning far below their potential.

“Life is a series of experiences, each one of which makes us bigger, even though sometimes it is to realize this. For the world was built to develop character and we must learn that the setbacks and griefs which we endure help us in our marching onward.” – Henry Ford

3 BASIC LIFE PRINCIPLES

  1. Life is hard. Always has been and always will be.  If you accept this premise, than interestingly enough life somehow becomes a little easier.
  2. Everything you are or ever will be is up to you. If you want your future to be different, you have to make better choices.
  3. Perhaps the most important. You can learn anything you need to learn (including Social Media) to become anyone you want to become, to achieve anything you want to achieve.

Your main job, in taking control of your life and your future, is to become the conductor of your own orchestra. You must take control of the internal and external aspects of your life. It’s a noisy world out there…and most of it is NEGATIVE!

Your job is to play beautiful music with your life, to make your life a great performance!

MENTAL LAWS VS PHYSICAL LAWS

You may already know about these laws. You may even practice them.

Here’s an important point: Mental laws are like physical laws in that they are in force 100% of the time. The LAW OF GRAVITY, for instance, works everywhere on the planet, 24/7. If you decide to jump from the Empire state building you will fall to the pavement with equal force whether you are in downtown New York, or downtown Sydney.

Doesn’t matter where you know about gravity, or whether you agree with gravity. The law is neutral.

It works for you everywhere, regardless of whether you know about it or whether it is particularly convenient for you at any point in time.

Mental Laws – however, can only be proven by experience and intuition, and by seeing them work in your own life.

Today, most of these laws are discussed and debated openly. What’s odd is that only a fraction of the population is even aware of them. Successful men and women of all ages use these principals consciously or unconsciously to achieve their success.

Often they accomplish more in two to three years than some people accomplish in their lifetime. In fact, all real and lasting success comes from organizing and putting into practice these principles that provide a harmonious life.

Let’s take a brief look at these mental laws so you can become familiar with them and integrate them into everything you do.

7 LAWS OF MENTAL MASTERY

7 Ways to control your mental life_Prepare1 image.

  1. Law of Control – Control over you life begins with your thoughts, the only thing over which you do have complete control.
  2. Law of Cause & Effect – There are specific causes of success and there are specific causes of failure. Whatever you sow you reap. “Thoughts are causes and conditions are effects.”
  3. Law of Belief – Whatever you believe with feeling, becomes your reality.
  4. Law of Expectations – Whatever you expect with confidence becomes your own self-fulling prophecy.
  5. Law of Attraction – You invariably attract into your life people and situations in harmony with your dominant thoughts.
  6. Law of Correspondence – Your outer world is a reflection of your inner world. “As within, so without.”
  7. Law of Mental Equivalency – Your thoughts, vividly imagined and repeated, charged with emotion, become your reality.

Everything that happens to you, everything you become and accomplish is determined by the way you think, by the way you use your mind. As you begin changing your mind, you begin changing your life.

Your expectations are determined by your beliefs about yourself and the world you live in. Your expectations about people, work and every part of your everyday life are generated by what you believe to be true in that area. Even if you have false or self-limiting beliefs, they will manifest themselves in your expectations, your attitudes and ultimately, in your results.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Most people try to improve or change aspects of their lives by trying to get others to change. They don’t like what they see reflecting back to them in the mirror of their lives. so they work at polishing the mirror instead of going to the source of reflection.

Emerson wrote, “What you are shouts at me so loudly, I can’t hear a word you’re saying.”

Examine the various areas of your life with a mental checklist and decide where you fee POSITIVE and in control, and where you feel you don’t.

Then begin thinking of the specific thing you could do to get back control in those areas of your life causing you stress. Think also of the situations you might be better off walking away from.

One of your major responsibilities in life is to get and keep your life under control.

This sense of control becomes your foundation for building greater happiness and success in the future.

Make sure it rock solid!
