How to Determine Your Social Media Style

Do you dream of great things to come?

Still have fire in your belly?

What are you focused in on?

What we think about, dream about will eventually come to fruition. If…you apply certain principles and discipline in the process.

You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.

~ Zig Ziglar

Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve. Thoughts are things! And powerful things at that, when mixed with definiteness of purpose, and burning desire, can be translated into riches.

~ Napoleon Hill

You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

~ Steve Jobs

DESIRE

What is it that you desire? What gets you jump started in the morning, work all day into the night and not feel tired?

Sometimes this can be the hardest part. Right? In an age when we can pick and choose from thousands of different jobs, careers, businesses to start, we have to be clear about what we desire.

  • How can we truly express ourselves and live lives that give us some kind of inner satisfaction a feeling of self-fulfillment.

The greatest need in the world today is for more understanding of why we behave the way we do, of knowing our strong points and our shortcomings. Where in this noisy world can we find and be true to ourselves.

Many of us probably have talents we don’t know we have, buried deep, layered over with acquired skills and disguised by the tendency so many of us have to imitate others rather than being ourselves. And contrary to popular belief, a college education may not always be the answer for all of us.

A knowledge of real abilities is particularly important for it gives clues to more choices in the way we might go.

APTITUDES

Have you noticed that you were born with certain aptitudes and natural gifts? How did you recognize them? Were you tested for them? A parent or friend pointed them out?

For whatever reason, when I was in grade school, I took a liking to sports. Neither my mother of father played sports, but I just loved it. I loved the competition, the thrill of victory, but not the agony of defeat. I became determined to win. Many of you are the same way.

Sports taught me many lessons.

  • Teamwork
  • Persistence
  • Humility
  • Confidence
  • Winning & Losing

Temperament and Aptitudes influence everything you do – from sleep habits to study habits to eating style to the way you get along with other people.

This is why it is so essential to know your temperament and to be able to analyze other people’s aptitudes and temperaments. Not to condemn them, but so you can maximize your potential and enable them to maximize theirs.

FOUR BASIC TEMPERAMENTS

There are numerous books, tests on the different personalities of temperaments. One can get carried away with it all. I’m going to boil it do to simplistic terms. Take a look at them and decide which one fits you the best, or are you a combination of a couple, with one being more dominant than another.

Four Temperaments_Prepare1 Image

1. Sanguine

  • Outgoing
  • Responsive
  • Warm & Friendly
  • Talkative
  • Enthusiastic
  • Compassionate

2. Choleric

  • Strong-Willed
  • Independent
  • Visionary
  • Practical
  • Productive
  • Decisive
  • Leader

3. Melancholy

  • Gifted
  • Analytical
  • Aesthetic
  • Self-Sacrificing
  • Industrious
  • Self-Disciplined

4. Phlegmatic

  • Calm Quiet
  • Easygoing
  • Dependable
  • Objective
  • Diplomatic
  • Efficient
  • Organized
  • Practical, Humorous

So which one are you?

Now that you have met the four temperaments, you no doubt realize why “people are individuals.” Not only are there four distinct types of temperaments that produce these differences, but the combinations, mixtures, and degrees of temperament multiply the possible differences. In spite of that, however, most people reveal a pattern of behavior that indicates they lean toward one predominant temperament.

Sanguines – Are people-oriented salesman types who excel in public relations, people helping, or anything that requires charisma.

Cholerics – Are strong natural leaders that are goal or project-oriented individuals who like to manage people.

Melancholies – Are creative, analytical individuals with strong perfectionist tendencies who often have aesthetic traits.

Phlegmatics – Are cool, detailed individuals who tend to limit themselves. They can do statistical, microscopic work that would drive others berserk.

Social Media is social. That’s why some are more social than others. Yet these are tools that will change today, tomorrow and one week from now. The pace will only accelerate.

SOCIAL MEDIA STYLES

Your social media style will influence how your brand relates in a social media world. Your intern, your voice whoever he/she might be must take into consideration this style.

What type of social media style do you want to project to your customers/clients? Potential customers and clients.

Think of the very iconic brands like Apple, Google, Dell, Microsoft, Facebook, where do they fit on the social media style graph? Where does your competition fit into this graph?

He was 14 years old and said his goal was to win the MASTERS. Fast forward seven years to today and that goal is accomplished. Goals that are achieved, are sometimes years in the making, but it first started with a desire, backed by your aptitudes and temperament.

It all started with a desire, a goal, a singular focus. Social Media played a role in spreading the word about Jordan Spieth long before the MASTERS WIN.

By slipping on the green jacket, Spieth will almost certainly leapfrog Nicklaus and 10 other players into that spot right behind the big four with off-course money alone nearing $20 million.
The victory for Spieth is worth so much because he hits all the benchmarks agents and endorsement partners are looking for.
1. Believability. No one thinks this was a fluke. They believe there are more major victories in his future.
2. Longevity. Because of his age business partners are confident he will be around for a long time, generating publicity for their products.
3. Likeability. Spieth is a nice guy with no off-the-course baggage. He’s polite, devoted to his special-needs sister and articulate.
4. He won the right major in the Masters.

Jordan Spieth WINS MASTERS achieving his goal and dream he set seven years before.

His brand is exploding thanks to Social Media.
