What Do I Want to Be

Social Media | Brand YouWhen was the last time you asked yourself, WHAT DO I WANT TO BE?

  • What do I stand for?
  • Does my work matter?
  • Am I making a difference?

WELCOME TO THE AGE… if you’re smart…of BRAND YOU!

Technology is moving at a pace that is breathtaking. Daily business owners tell me they can’t believe how fast time is going.

  • We are having to work smarter
  • We have to work faster to keep up

Social Media Marketing is replacing the old traditional way of marketing faster than many people had thought. It’s propelling brands over their competition like someone standing in cement.

So how are you marketing your PERSONNEL BRAND? YOUR BUSINESS BRAND?

A great brand taps into…

  • Emotions
  • Reaches out and connects
  • Tells a Story

What differentiates YOU from the MASSES? What’s your unique selling proposition?

Ask yourself : WHO AM I? WHO AM I NOT?

Make a Personal Brand Equity Evaluation

Some questions to answer and ponder:

1. I am known for [2-3] things. My business is known for [2-3] things.

2. By the end of this year, three years from now I plan to be known for [2-3] things.

3. New skills and information I’ve learned in the last 120 days includes [2-3] things.

4. New skills and information I plan on learning by the end of this year, next year, [2-3] things.

5. New additions to my Network going forward, [5-7] names.

Write a Personal Positioning Statement

According to Jay Levinson and Seth Godin who are genius marketers: We live in a very busy, crowded world. You’ve got to cut to the chase. Now if you can’t describe your position in eight words or less, you don’t have a position!

  • What am I?
  • What do I stand for?
  • How do I stand out?

Humans, “Think” visually. A picture is really worth a million words. That’s why photo’s are the #1 engage tool at your disposal in Social Media Marketing. Great brands have readily identifiable icons – just ask Apple or Nike- strong, simple images that connect with consumers.

So are you PREPARED for what’s coming? Will the Tsunami of change overwhelm you and your business? Will you decide to be proactive or reactive? YOUR CHOICE!

What steps will you take? What new skills will you learn?

So…what does your Brand look like now?

The biggest hurdle to you and your Brand is learning to approach change differently, rather than running from it, EMBRACE IT!

  • Think Differently
  • Act Boldly
  • Be Proactive
  • Get out of your Comfort Zone

It’s a new marketing world out there. No other time in history have YOU or YOUR BUSINESS been able to BRAND yourself so easily. All it take is a COMMITMENT!!!
